When I was 13 I daydreamed of the life of a famous writer and if not that, as a tortured artist living in a garret in Europe.

By the time I was 19 I worked out that I had neither the necessary talent nor the disposition, for either.  My alternative plan changed to teaching and eventually community capacity building as well as other more practical pursuits.  It certainly has been a very different life than the one I had imagined, a life worth living of course, but I have always ached for something more.

At last now, at almost 68, I am giving myself permission to revisit the dreams of my 13 year old self.  I no longer have any expectations about whether I have either the talent or the disposition and have stopped worrying about if I am good enough.  Letting go of those self- imposed handbrakes has freed me up to just go ahead and blissfully work on a series of novels, short stories and poetry, while also madly sketching away.

I have no illusions about the odds of finding an established publisher who will whisk me away to book signings and fame.  Even if the improbable happened I don't think I would enjoy the process.  So like so many before me (even Dickens and Twain I might add) I have decided to go down the path of self-publishing.

I have tried to create a thrilling book store where you can experience some of the content before purchasing the complete book.  Crashing the Party - a short story and Part One of A Remarkable Concurrence of Events - a novel, will be available to read for free until 30 August 2023.  If you would like to finish reading A Remarkable Concurrence of Events there will be a fee of $5.00. (US Dollars).

I have nearly completed the final edits on three more novels which will be available later this year.  The same deal will apply: the first part of each novel will be free for a limited time, and if you enjoy reading it, the full work will be $5.00 US.

A paperback  version of the book will be available on request.  To order your copy go to the Contact section by clicking here

I have also started a monthly email subscription that will keep you up to date on my own ramblings, a forum if you will on matters of interest, at least to me, and hopefully to you as well.  Please subscribe to the emailer below.  Of course you can unsubscribe at any time.
